Our Standard Operating Procedure

We Are Happy To Have You

At Omololu Ikekwere Optometry, we want to assure you that we are well equipped to accommodate our patients with all the precautionary measures especially at this time. We have put in place all the necessary adjustments to protect both new and existing patients while ensuring high degree of safety. For example:

Screening Before You Arrive

Our patients will be expected to complete a short questionnaire when appointments are being scheduled. Our next screening of patients will be after arrival at the clinic to better keep us and our patients safe.

Staff and Patient Protection

We plead with all patients to cover their mouth and nose when entering the optometry clinic with mask or other form of materials. To keep our patients safe, our staff will also wear the PPE covering their mouth, nose and eyes when interacting with you.

Cleaning and Disinfection

We have increased the frequency of cleaning our entire optometry clinic throughout the day. This includes cleaning of hands before and after every patient interaction; disinfecting surfaces and patient contact areas before and after every patient; and in all public and clinical areas. We also clean and thoroughly disinfect at the end of day and beginning of a new business day.

Airflow System

To reduce the transmission of air pathogens, microbial spores and other air contaminant within our clinic, we have increased airflow and added a “High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance” Filtered Air Purifier.

Social Distancing

With our safety-first policy, we have chosen some contact-less procedures and added protective barriers as well as reducing our patient volume by approximately half.
